We feel that consumers are now getting more aware of the environmental impact of the products they buy and use and are looking for access to more eco-friendly products. Buying organic and natural products do not only lead to a healthier lifestyle, one where dependence on potentially harmful chemicals is reduced, but it also leads to a healthy planet.
How we choose which products to carry?
Each product that we decide to offer at Naturigy.com has been carefully handpicked. There are two main criteria that we use in selecting a product
- The product is made of natural and organic ingredients, many times using green and sustainable production methods, or,
- The product helps in reducing waste and global warming by enabling reuse and lifestyle changes that positively impact the environment
We are not going to change the world in one shot, no matter what we do. The key to a long term impact is for all of us to adopt aspects of eco-friendly lifestyle, however incremental, and than build on that. Supporting businesses and products that help us do this is one of the easiest ways to start.
Does eco-friendliness means you have to give up creature comforts?
Not at all. While modern chemistry has indeed made life much more comfortable, many eco-friendly alternatives exist for some of the mainstream products you use everyday. True, these alternatives are not widely known or very well marketed (with a few exceptions). However, you will be amazed at the choices that are now available, but you did not know about, to fit everyone’s budget and lifestyle.
The large consumer products corporations, like it or not, have vested interest in continuing to push the same products and formulations that they have been pushing to the consumers for decades. It is simple economics, they have invested tremendous amount of capital developing these products and their market share and they will not easily give it up. It is up to us, the consumers to initiate the change.
Beginning of something new?
Quite possibly! We do feel that a change is in the air. We all know that our actions are hurting the environment and we need to do something about it. Now is the time, tomorrow is too late!
